B&Bs for Vets

As a special thank you to those who have served our country, we are joining hundreds of Bed & Breakfasts throughout the U.S. and Canada in the B&Bs for Vets program.

We are happy to be offering a free room to active or retired military, and one guest  on Thursday, November 10, 2011.*  Call to make your reservation.

Well, it’s a wet and soggy day on the Coast, but what’s a little rain to Oregonians?  People are flocking to Wheeler in droves for a Summerfest experience!

It’s time for our hometown event!  They have absolutely ensured that there is something for everyone. Steamboat rides, food, hay rides, food, Clydesdales, live music, a water taxi to/from the Nehalem Celebration of Crafts… and did I mention food?

Let There Be Light…

And color. And art!

This is the first of three custom stained glass panels for the hotel, made for us by local artist Josi Newberg of Newberg’s House of Glass. In the style of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, these panels will replace transom windows that have long been boarded up.

Of course, we’ll keep you updated as the project progresses. We will also have some pieces of Josi’s gorgeous art for sale in the Gift Shop in the near future.
